Mirabella Cafe is proud to serve the community by supporting local charities. The Cafe regularly holds dining events where a portion of the proceeds is given to the charities. At each event, Chef Palombo matches contributions made by his staff. There are also drawings, and prizes. Live music is provided by the best local groups and performers.

City of Hope Cancer Center's "Dining for the Cure" (twice a year)
In just over a year, Mirabella Cafe has raised more than $5,350 for this organization.

The City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is one of the world's leading research and treatment centers for cancer and other serious diseases, including diabetes and HIV/AIDS. The work conducted at City of Hope is shared with medical centers worldwide, touching the lives of millions of people everywhere, including in the South Jersey area. City of Hope is located in greater Los Angeles.

 

Make-A-Wish Foundation's "Dining for Dreams" (twice a year)
In the past year, Mirabella Cafe has raised more than $13,500 to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with strength, hope and joy. Children under the age of 18 with a life-threatening medical condition (i.e., a progressive, degenerative, or malignant medical condition that has placed the child's life in jeopardy) are potentially eligible for a wish. With the child's imagination driving the process, the wish granters set out to create an unforgettable wish experience, which uplifts the spirits of the child, family and the entire community.

 

Make-A-Wish Foundation's Annual "Dishes for Wishes" (once a year)

The AIDS Coalition of Southern NJ's "Dining Out for Life" (once a year)
Last year, Mirabella Cafe raised more than $1,700 to support local HIV affected and infected people.

The AIDS Coalition of Southern New Jersey is a non-profit direct service corporation whose mission is to provide culturally competent, effective social services, education, prevention, and vital resources to enhance the quality of life of people infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS primarily in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem Counties.

 

The Alice Paul Institute's "Paulsdale Palate" (once a year)
An outdoor dining event in September

featuring some of the area's finest restaurants.

Using the life and work of Alice Paul as a model, the Alice Paul Institute (API) seeks to educate and empower women to serve as catalysts for people to recognize and acknowledge the relationship between their lives and the larger social, economic and philosophical movement toward women's equality. API empowers women and girls to accept leadership challenges in their lives, communities and workplaces. Paulsdale, the birthplace of Alice Paul and the office location of the API, provides an historical perspective and serves as a source of inspiration and motivation.

 

Mirabella Cafe has helped to raise thousands of dollars for these organizations.
